Neighborhoods
Five cities. One practice.
I have lived in Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, and Virginia Beach. Newport News is on the same roster through the Peninsula office. Pick a city to see how I talk about it.
Virginia Beach
I live in the Pembroke / Town Center area and work the city from the ocean to the western suburbs. The right block changes quickly here: resort, suburban, and in-town all sit inside one set of city limits.
Norfolk
Norfolk is where a lot of Hampton Roads buyers start when they want older streets, a shorter commute to the bases, or a house with a porch instead of a cul-de-sac. I grew up in the region and have lived in Norfolk.
Chesapeake
Chesapeake is where many buyers go for newer construction, larger lots, and a quieter evening. I have lived here and still work it as part of one Hampton Roads practice, not a separate market.
Portsmouth
Portsmouth rewards buyers who want history and water without Oceanfront prices. I have lived here. I treat it as its own city, with its own streets, not as a footnote to Norfolk.
Newport News
Atlantic Sotheby’s keeps an office at William Styron Square, so Peninsula buyers and sellers are part of the same practice. Newport News is a practical base between the shipyard, Williamsburg, and the Southside bridge-tunnel.
